Living through these times is no easy task.  

Most people have enough anxiety in their lives, but then the world is unraveling further by the day.  And this global turmoil and disconnection can easily add to your personal overwhelm, can’t it?

I’ve created it specifically for folks who want to find a way off the emotional roller coaster ~ you know, to actual stability and resilience ~ without relying on unhealthy coping strategies.

 

When you consider the state of the world, it’s not surprising that more of us are feeling more anxious, more of the time, about more areas of our lives.

Whether you’re prone to deep dives down the “rabbit hole” or you opt to ignore the state of things, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the big emotions that accompany these turbulent times.  

Now, there are two important things to note here…

Important Thing #1 - 


Our first response to the touch of the world is emotional. 

People respond to life’s stressors by having feelings.   (Even the most linear or logical people do this!)


There can be no knowledge without emotion.

To the cognition of the brain must be added the experience of the soul.

Important Thing #2 - 

Your emotions can not be controlled. 

They need to be experienced and processed.  Emotions are nonlinear, which means they need to be felt in order to integrate.

Instead, you need to navigate your emotional experiences, as if you’re surfing emotional waves as they pass through you.

 

Sadly, modern western culture hasn’t done a great job of nourishing the capacity for empathy, connection or “emotional intelligence”.  How could it?! It sees the living world as a machine to be controlled.    

(you might notice the similarity with the medical-pharmaceutical approach to emotions)

But that’s not how emotional healing works. 

And the longer you try to control your emotions, the longer they’ll control you instead.
